Pipe Grade

Message: Provide careful attention to grade and compaction to prevent water from ponding when the pipe is not in use.

This Granite County, Montana conduit was installed so that water ponded in the upstream section, accelerating deterioration. The upstream section of the conduit was severely deteriorated while the remaining sections of the pipe were in relatively good shape.
